I can’t do Falukorv unless it’s part of the stroganoff. There will be more potato gratin, they put Utahns to shame.

On the subject of Falukorv I’ve come to the conclusion that Icelandic kjötbúðingur is derived from it. Falun is in Dalarna and as a kid I remember liking a brand of kjötbúðingur called Dalapylsa. Pylsa means sausage (and búðingur means pudding, fascinating yes?) so I draw the conclusion that Dala is a reference to Dalarna.

These taste pretty much the same although kjötbúðingur is usually sold as short and very thick sausages. I would usually fry kjötbúðingur in slices and serve with baked beans and eggs. That’s a decent, if probably quite fatty, meal.

Well… I dont envy you when it comes to eating potato gratin! That and Aspargus! I can´t stand it… sorry just hate it! :(
